if possible I would like to know how to unpack the x2.5035.(Force480p) bfm format?.
I have tried a xbtool 1.0.23a patched to unpack but not work.
Another mystery to me is how to convert the x2.5035.v16plus(force480p) bios to bfm format?.

 

It's not needed to unpack the x2.5035.(Force480p).bfm.bin it's the same as the non bootable from media You will get the same end results if you unpack it! (It's only packed different so that Phoenix Bios Loader knows it's a bootable from media version) xbtool 1.0.23a PATCHED is only needed for the x2.4981 bios! x2.5035 has a x2config.ini where you can edit all your needs.

And no need to convert the x2.5035.v16plus(force480p) to bfm. Just use the normal x2.5035.(Force480p).bfm.bin it works on all xboxes with Phoenix Bios Loader. Only use the x2.5035.v16plus(force480p).bin if you have a 1.6 xbox and want to flash your modchip with it.

 

MrNova - I'd be interested in trying out and reporting back on the VGA Beta - Hardmod here with programmer - so can experiment freely.

 

Re-uploaded the test version from the X3.3294 BETA (VGA) back in 3 older post. Let me know if it works and i make a final version. (maybe even fix the previous vga bioses if there is demand for?)

 

MrNova, I am so sorry - I should have read better and I would have seen you had ONLY corrected the X3 bios - Unfortunately that is the ONE bios I can't flash - would you mind applying these patches to an M8+ or ind 5003 or any of the others - I will then commence testing. Many thanks

 

If weinerschnitzel has tested the X3 VGA bios and confirmed it's working i will start porting it to other bioses. Till that time just watch the forums

 

Please post a mirror link to the file in the first post, it fails, probably due to "Files will be deleted after: 7 Days" for non-reg users.

Sorry. I thought I would be able to have time after finals, but I've been caught up in getting a move arranged. I haven't forgot about this and it is still important to me! I will get you feedback in due time.

 

MrNova, given weinerschitzel's inability to test at the moment and no clear path to when this may take place, perhaps reconsider porting the code to one of the 256K non X3 images so some of us canhelp testing the revised VGA code?

Hi everybody!

This is my first post. I'm incredibly suprised to see major advanced in the xbox hack over 15 years after its release.

I am putting together a bartop cabinet for CoinOps. The xbox is a 1.0, it works with a VGA monitor that supports the SOG. I have an Aladdin advance modchip (so 256k), with 2 memory chips (it can be removed by levering on the diagonal of the port). So I have a backup memory in case of bad flashing.

Currently I use a patched with M8 + FrostyTheSnowman's Evox M8 + VGA. I tested the M8plus. (Force480p) prepatched provided by Mr Nova (Thank you Mr Nova!) And it works perfectly, everything that I tested worked in progressive mode.

As a result I tried to patch it with the VGA bios patch of FrostyTheSnowman and it's partially worked, instead of having a completely green image I had a green image with shades of red and pink.

I have great hope in these new discoveries, Mr Nova and Weinerschnitzel if you need beta tester for 256k bios, please feel free to contact me.

1: I added Force 480p XBOX bios collection v3 to the first page! It includes Yoshihiro_K2005_Debug_All_version (Force480p).rar which also works on 1.6 and 1.6B in Force480p (Yes this bios was only black and white with component cables on any console, now it's fixed and in nice Force 480p!)

2: TRUEHD VGA XBOX Bios Collection is ready for launch! This bios collection is for all those VGA geeks! Find it in the main thread
