    Awesome! The season started today.

Pity Alonso got first place, but I'm hoping we'll see some pretty awesome stuff this year.

Personally i thought the race was crap, ever since that prat Hermann Tilke got involved the courses have been going to shit :crying: Even Hockenheim which used to be awesome is now too slow, nowadays it's amazingly fast straight's have been butchered to make way for more chicanes. Until they bring back some decent straight's to F1 there's never going to be much overtaking and the exclusion of refueling is just another hurdle for those that are trying to get past a slower car.

I don't think shuey should have returned though, I've never liked the guy but at least he's remembered as a racing legend. If thing's don't improve for him this year i fear he will be remembered as the legend who lost his touch, he's hed his turn and i think the younger boy's are gonna show him a thing or too this year.

Right rant over, I'm off to mourn for the passing of the best sport ever :crying:

PERFECT! Tracks like Valencia, Abu Dhabi, Turkey and Singapore are TERRIBLE. The only decent track from him is the Malaysian one.

Also, please get rid of Hungaroring, a boring track that still has only one overtaking spot, and has been like that ever since the 80's!

But the biggest problem in F1 is lack of commom sense. The selection of the new teams was incoherent. HOW racing teams like Prodrive and Epsilon Euskadi, that have infra-structure, technical knowledge and racing history weren't selected? Why their spots were occupied by teams like Campos and USF1?

Result? USF1 = No show/no go, and Campus became Hispania a team that started on a racing weekend without a SINGLE mile of tests. That's just irresponsible!

Plus, why Stefan GP (a.k.a. What's left of Toyota F1 Team) wasn't allowed to join the championship? They have the car ready, tested and technical personel.

Also let's not forget the useless and costly KERS device, that made BMW spent a fortune on it, and almost left the Sauber's off the grid. Yet another stupidity by FIA : BMW Sauber Ferrari

PS: If you guys like F1, check this website: http://www.f1rejects.com/

It tells the story of the most unsuccesful teams and drivers and a hall of shame of the F1. It's a very important place with lots of historical information / pictures of those small / unsuccesful teams and drivers. They also have podcasts with previews / reviews of the current races.

    And this: http://www.f1archives.com/

Great videos of the old and great F1!

I think that the drivers had a point when they said it was a train of cars from start to finish.

Dropping refuelling stops really takes the strategy and interest out of it. Although, as people pointed out, the track is not really known for having many places to overtake.

Congratulations FIA, you appear to have sucked all the fun out of a sport that already was becoming a bit tired.
