The site needs $140 to extend our license for Xenforo for a year. Can anyone chip in towards this expense?
What happened to all the money from the previous fundraiser before the site went down? Some transparency would be nice Plus, what's the point anyways since Xenforo here is almost never updated, and very clearly you don't care about the site anymore, whether a lack of interest or other commitments. I'm not going to donate a second time, even if it's just for $140. It's not about the money but rather the trust that I, and many others, no longer have for the administration of the site. Thanks, but no. I will not chip in.
Just a heads up, according to XenForo's purchase page it only costs $40 to renew a license for a year, $140 is for a new license.
Definitely not. I had Kev's login to download XenForo (you gave it to me before you accuse me of something, Kev). If you don't have a license, you don't get to download XF. A XenForo license works on a 12 monthly basis, not however long you've been online for. The site went down in what, February 2017? No it doesn't. It needs $40 for the extension, plus a further $15 for XF Media Gallery. That's $55. Unless you've added extra plugins. Plus what @Logi26 quoted.
That's a big relief it's only $40. I didn't see it all the way in the fine print. That's a very generous price and I am no longer worried about it. Towards the server fees. 16 months x $120 = $1920. You think the site runs at no cost? I'll set up a donation link, we don't have paypal anymore so I have to figure that out.
Of course not, nothing is free. Transparency is a very nice thing to have, and I appreciate you giving us some. I do hope you continue to be transparent.
