No. These are pretty much like standard CD-Rs at the first part but with an special zone with an higher density track... Not rewriteable also as the Dreamcast laser pickup is not setup to read CDRW discs (while it's optical pickup is capable of CDRW read, it's controller board is not designed for that.)

I said put on a normal CD-ROM/DVD ROM drive and see if the disc is detected. If it is detected, then it's already written. The CD-ROM will be able to see the low density zone just fine.

Yeah maybe what you have is a beta of something? Not really just kidding, but wouldn't that be something if it was.

yeah, i did have one or two given to me but i think they fell into the wrong hands as they did not work on a standard console, i think they were binned anyway, i have stuck the blanks on the assembler..

The high density area on a burned GD-R looks just like the low density area on a blank so you can easily spot which is burned or blank at first glance due to the shiny low to high ring and a dulled high area. A blank's high density area is shinier because there is no data there.

My blurred pic doesn't help resolve matters (shit camera on my shit 'phone) but that disc looks blank to me, but it doesn't hurt to check them all using the wombat method.
