Fragile, anyone else getting it??

Another truly beautiful rpg for the wii by Namco, out on the 22nd & i can't wait.

I'm interested in seeing how this game turns out. I hope the best for it. I hope it gets a localization so I can hopefuly get the chance to play it.

If sadly some reason it bombs in japan, I really hope namco moves it to another platform.

 

It looks like Fallout 3 with anime characters. Seriously.

 

1000 yen says the story is crap. I do applaud them for it not being Tales of Fragile though.

No, No, No! Don't support yet another bloody Dragon Quest game. Support the new and original ideas :nod: You just know that the new Dragon Quest isn't going to be as good as the older ones, just like Final Fantasy these days.

I'm all for original ideas, don't get me wrong. I agree about Final Fantasy, having given up on that series after not being able to stomach 8. Had such a bad taste left in my mouth I couldn't get into 9 either... But I did thoroughly enjoy DQ7 and 8. Just to be clear, i'm not one of those schmucks that buys all the re-releases. I really loved Enix growing up, so I guess part of me hopes there is still some of that Enix spirit alive inside of Square... But the main reason is my Japanese still sucks! DQ9 has furigana, so I can look up shit in the dictionary like a pro :thumbsup:. I can get most of the Fragile trailer, so if it's as good as it looks then i'll probably end up getting it eventually.

 

most JRPGs are so cheesy and girly that I tend to avoid them on principle alone.

 

But DQ9 is different. Buying it up supports Level 5 who in turn uses that money to fund original ideas.

Yeah, theres a few JRPGs I wont even try because of the IP.

And speaking of Dragon Quest, I've actually never played a single DQ game. The main reason is I didn't try it is because I don't like playing games out of order. But I don't think all of them came to the US. Or maybe they did, I'm not sure.

 

I'll wait for a review made by somene here, but the game looks good.

From that statement it's clear you don't understand a thing being said in the Promotion video. This game looks to be pretty good.

 

It looks like a decent game, but I just haven't used my Wii in so long I probably won't think of it if it gets a localization.

The 10 track CD has a few nice orchestral scores if you're in to that sort of thing.
