This almost went completely unnoticed in the press, but it is the passing of a great man who both founded one of the biggest publishers in the UK in the 80s, and secured the future for Sega by properly marketing and distributing the Sega Master System in the UK - making it a strong player and knocking NES ownership for 6 in Europe. RIP Frank - there will be many that will miss you. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/33792/Games-industry-mourns-Frank-Herman
Remarkable that such an important games industry personality could pass away and go relatively unmentioned. I owe Frank for all the years of budget gaming I enjoyed in my youth. Some of those games were classics. Now I owe him for all the fun I am having on Sega 'cades. RIP Frank!
Yes, the good old Mastertronic 1.99 and 2.99 games. Most of the games I had for my CBM Plus 4 were Mastertronic. Yakumo
See you were shunning the mainstream machines at a young age then? Anyway here is a nice link to a website written by the finance controller of Mastertronic. And here is a picture of him from the last company he was working at.
