I didn't see anyone else post this. In preparation for C&C4, you can download C&C, Tiberium Sun and Red Alert from EA directly for free: http://www.commandandconquer.com/classic But you should all be playing Glide instead... :110:
RA was posted back when RA3 was released. EA seriously deserves a lot of credit for making these games available for free.
Let me know when they make Generals+Zero Hour free. =P I actually should download these. I've never played the classics before.
I DLed all of them. I ll have to find some time to play them though.. Are they optimized/fully playable on modern systems?
If they're anything like the versions on First Decade, then they're perfectly playable. Think I'm gonna download them anyway, since it's so much more convenient to play them from ISOs...wish they'd give us RA2 though, what an underrated and fun to play game.
Tiberium Sun is, but the first C and C is still having issues. Tiberium Sun and it expansion are full, but non iso versions. Please read the readme files in them.
This is cool, however I still have both games from their original release! I'll probably download these anyway as a backup. Hell yes, I play it almost every day! It's great that 8 years later there's still enough people playing online to get a decent game going at any given time.
Remember my uncle playing RA on a time pc. Still got the disks i think. FOR USE ONLY WITH TIME PC'S printed on it. ran just fine on XP
What are the c&c battles like (as in two opposing bases)? It seemed promising at the time, but I only had dial up. Are the maps bigger than that practice one?
Might have to install Renegade as not played in a while. Never liked the single player game much but multiplayer was soo much fun.
