Alright, so after finishing up my project on learning how to make my own PS1 and Gamecube modchips, I have some extras. I'm willing to give away 1 MM3 modchip for PS1 and 1 XenoGC clone modchip for Gamecube to one lucky person here for free - including shipping.

    Rules:
    -Shipping within Canada only.
-Join date must have been before the start of this thread.

Write why you want them and what you would do with them. I'll pick someone who I want to give them to, mostly depending on the reasons why they want them (I have a few things I'm looking for). I would like to ship them out within the next day or two, so be sure to check your PMs.

I'm shocked that nobody has claimed to want FREE modchips yet... I have a feeling on some other websites this would have been gone almost instantly. Should I have posted in a different section of the forum??

    Here I am, A canadian!

I have many spare consoles that might benefit some modding :p

Edit : Ok, more detailed reasons.

-I am good with modding and soldering iron so I can do the install, no issues.
    - I would like a modded GameCube for myself, because I have none ( I only did the region switch mod ). I was just waiting for a good opportunity to get a mod chip.
-I already have a Chipped PS1, but the laser on the puppy is getting bad ( only works when put on the side) . I could mod one of my good PS1 with it.

PM'd MaxWar to be the lucky recipient of the modchips.

I was mainly looking for someone with soldering skills and he mentioned in a PM that he wasn't looking to sell them, which is good because I didn't want to give them for free to somebody who would just sell them.

I'll tell you what TheRealPhoenix. Even though I've already given out a XenoGC, I'll be nice and send you one. It'll just be a pre-programmed Atmega8 chip with the lastest version of Xeno on it and I'll send you the loose resistors, LEDs, and capacitor and you can assemble it yourself. Sound good? PM me an address.

FYI, I PM'ed Gonzo 2 days ago but never received a reply.

    Got your PM.

Honestly, you don't even need to make a PCB for it, you can just solder all the components directly to the chip. That's what I've done before, and I've used prototype PCB board as well which you can cut to a smaller size.

I like when it's small and tidy, and now I'm equipped to do SMD stuff. :D

I've given out 2 MM3s and 2 Xenos already, I'll send out 1 more MM3 to somebody within Canada who wants it (shipping included) - preferably somebody who doesn't have a chipped PS1 already.

Hey just to let you know I received the chips in the mail!
The ps1 ones received the squashed beetle treatment in the mail but none of the legs are broken so I guess that should be salvageable :p
