I heard this was because LucasArts dropped their Battlefront development contract mid-way in. Niiiiiiice....

They were working on TS4 also. Shame.

Codemasters will be a good home to a bunch of those guys, hopefully.

I read somewhere that they planned on finishing TS4 before they release it.

If it doesn't come out there's going to be a LOT of disappointed gamers out there.

My friend Greg works for Free Radical, I was chatting to him over a few beers last night. He says that the company is facing closure but he is still getting paid and hasn't been fired, he seems pretty hopeful about it.

It'll be a shame if they go down, he's a really talented guy but only been with them for 6 months.

Yeah, after poor reviews for Haze. Protecting their name and investment, perhaps?

That would be preferable to releasing it unfinished!

They approached a publisher with TS4. They said no. The shit hit the fan.

Maybe he's one of the lucky few who may be going to Pumpkin Beach. He shouldn't be too worried if he's talented. There are a couple of studios in the area, and many more if he's prepared to commute or relocate. The recruitment agencies are really good in situations such as these, too. I remember chatting with a couple back when Atari went tits up, and they were confident they could relocate pretty much the whole team.

Pumpkin Beach is a start-up by the same guys, which doesn't sound too promising considering the current state of affairs...

I read that Crytek wanted them to go ahead and finish TS4, since Crytek themselves loved the Timesplitters series. Or something like that.

As for Star Wars battlefront 3, two developers are already trying to get their paws on it to finish it. It looks really good, at least from the leaked videos i've seen on Youtube.

    EDIT:

Oh, and if the above is true about TS4, I really really hope they make a PC version.

small fyi even though it was long long ago.

    Vegas 1 & 2 were Ubi Montreal.

King Kong was Ubi Montpilier (Same as Beyond Good & Evil)

Rayman 2 DS was actualy a farmed out project to DC-studios (I actualy worked there and did some help on rayman 2 ds, that studio died a few years back due to poor management).

Ubi montreal is most famous for
Assasins Creed, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six (the ones on Xbox & Vegas series), Far Cry xbox, Farcry 2, Naruto 1 & 2, Shaun White (I worked on the Wii & PSP vers), Splinter Cell (all but the x360 ver of Double Agent, that was ubi shangai), and a few others (surfs up, open season).

they're like a 3rd person Battlefield game. different classes, lots of vehicles, space battles, land battles, battles on spaceships. they were pretty fun, although i never played them online.

yeah, i still need to beat the game on realistic. i've only recently started playing online. so i hope to get all those achievements. the one i'm really having trouble with is the "True Identity". I can't get my stupid camera to get an acceptable picture. It's super annoying.
