    I'm after a NTSC-J freeloader for Gamecube.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, but I've heard that some versions of Freeloader are region free (as in, what console they'll run on too), but I'm yet to be proven right, so I'll keep searching for an NTSC-J freeloader disc.

Willing to pay up to $30

Well, that's actually true I guess.

    I have 2 Freeloaders.

The first version, which I bought on Lik-Sang a million years ago, supposedly is the PAL version, but works fine on my NTSC-US console to play both PAL and NTSC-J imports, and recently I used it with my Panasonic Q to play NTSC-US and PAL titles. Funny thing is I never used this one on a PAL console.
This one looks like this (just so I'm clear):

The newer version, I believe it's build 3.0b (correct me if I'm wrong please), which I ordered from Play-Asia back in 2009, was an NTSC-US version and did NOT work on my Panasonic Q, although I did not try it on a regular NTSC-J Gamecube. This version is the one that comes with Wii support, and looks like this:

    Hope this helped,

If Tchoin is right (and I'm pretty sure he is) then you can get freeloader -> Here <- or -> Here <- bit cheaper than 30$ (including shipping)

Yep, that was the problem, they have been out of stock of NTSC-J Freeloaders for quite some time now, and I highly doubt they'll ever re-stock.

I believe your only chance is here or eBay, other forums, Amazon, etc., and try to get any of the older versions.
