The two topics about north korea reminded me about this documentary. Two french journalists went to north korea for the 60th birthday of the regime. Very intersting for people who can understand french. For others, well, still interesting to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGHGxYwWu6g&feature=related (this is the first part of six)
This video contains content from Lagardere Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. What a load of crap :'(
Blocked for me too. Thanks for nothing, YouTube. I've got some nice NK-related linkage too, but not worth its own post imo, so I'll just add it here. A while ago I came across a documentation of some dudes' travel through NK by train, entering the country from a direction the authorities didn't expect at all - so they saw lots of stuff you normally don't get to see at all. "The forbidden railway: Vienna - Pyongyang 윈 - 모스크바 - 두만강 - 평양 Our train trip via Russia to North Korea - using an officially closed for foreigners route inside the Hermit Kingdom"
OT: I'm quite displeased with a lot of dickeahds IP blocking. The internet was supposed to connect people, be this big international thing that knows no bounds.... yet, here we are.
Vice magazine went there last year and th eir results are on youtube and their website.crazy stuff they reveal and how they pulled it off.
You know, my girlfriend was speaking tonight of someone she met when she was in France, a journalist, that was headed to N. Korea. Hmm...
