That's pretty much what my Super Famicom looks like anyway. Never seen one so yellowed in all my days.
Mines actually been pretty good on the yellowing, my SNES has some slight yellowing, but nothing too bad.
Sorry to bump this thread, but I have just accidentally blown the fuse on my PAL SNES - even though I discharged it for 10 seconds before touching the motherboard :-( Anyway, I would like to replace it with the exact same fuse if possible - its marked as "SOC 1.5A" and from reading around I believe it is also 125V and Fast Blow? Now some people say its a 'Picofuse', but I cant find any Picofuse's that look the same. I have also seen them called 'Mini Axial' or Micro Axial' fuses, but these dont appear to be the same either  So my question is - what is the exact same type of fuse? Thanks in advance
They were SMD fuses (surface mount), weren't they? I can't remember, haven't done one in years! Good luck changing them with a regular soldering iron! Other than the fiddliness, the new one will quite possibly blow. Anyway, take it to your local Maplin and they should be able to sort you out. That, or look at the CPC catalogue.
Thanks for your reply. I wouldnt say it was 'surface mount' - you can see a picture of it here:- http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/snes-fuse.htm I have looked through the maplin website and cant find any fuse that looks the exactly the same, so unfortunately I dont think I would have more luck finding it in the actual store...
Ah yes, I remember now. The answer is... stop being so damned fussy! A fuse is a fuse... other than how long it'll take to blow. Maplin's website is pretty crappy, TBH. Do they still do their paper catalogue? That was awesome! http://cpc.farnell.com/littelfuse/0251-01-5mat1/fuse-axial-quick-blow-1-5a/dp/FF01196 That's what we always fitted. Told ya, CPC ;-)
