Up for sale are 11 brand new DECR-1010E controller. Some notes around these

    - The boxes have writings on them on one side, stating possible the PS3 firmware these were connected to
    - All controllers are brand new, two of the boxes are missing the usb cable and one of the two is also missing the small manual.

Payment: Paypal (Gift or please add 4.4%) or Bank Transfer.

Price: £45 each for the controllers that are not missing anything, £42 each for the controllers that are missing the USB and/or small manual.

Shipping is extra. I can ship anywhere but I would prefer to keep these in Europe, just because it's easier. Shipping shouldn't be too costly, each box is small and quite light in weight.

Out of the box I don't believe they do. Maybe if you somehow mod them they do? I really don't know.

Sorry to say this, but the reference tool controllers do not feature the red ps home buttons, only prototype models CBEH-1010 models do there are 4 variants of those 3 of which have the light. If you do not believe me I encourage that you plug one in and test that out. :) Hope this helps, the controllers themselves I get for about 23-28$ USD for DECR-1010U and DECR-1010E mint but thats without box, im not sure what the box adds to value. "Edit- European Models Feature It Too" Just tried it with my E model too and can confirm.

Also do you happen to have any of the reference tools that these go to?

Also out of the box the DECR-1010U/E Controllers will work with non reference tool consoles, particularly running custom firmware. I know this because I use mine for my retail consoles aswell as for the reference tools. CBEH-1010 Prototypes will not.

Here I brought mine out for you to see and compare.

Heres also my scan from the 2006 PLAY B3YOND campaign prior to console release showing the above controller. The only official showcase of it.

I can confirm what Intrenz said. Only CBEH-1010 feature the red PS button (I had 4 of them). DECR-1010U are just like retail Sixaxis controllers but they were blocked by later versions of PS3 software. I've heard there is a firmware update for them on SIE Devnet, however, it hasn't been leaked.

Check the first post, mine do. Maybe they are early DECR-1010E controllers? I really don't know. Cool you can find them this cheap, these are brand new however, unused and I've priced them reasonably I believe. It's box, manual, baggie and the usb cord for a complete set.

    Nope, I don't.

On retail machines with 4.XX firmware they don't work. I tried one of them something like a year ago.

Inserting pics here as well but they are also on the first post. Thanks.

That’s interesting. I haven’t seen DECR-1010 with red LED before. They must be early versions. They should work on PS3s with system software older than 2.60 IIRC. They can also be used on a PC/iOS/Android with Dualshock 3 drivers. My CBEH-1010 were working fine on a PC so DECR-1010E should be working too :)

Not all had red LEDs, some did. Most later revisions dropped it as expected. This isn't anything out of the ordinary

They normally work up to a point. There's a cutoff firmware where it doesn't work on anything higher than it. @Jackhead do you remember the firmware that these stop working at?

Most of the complete sets are either sold of pending payment. Only the two incomplete sets are up for grabs.

    Thank you all.

Asking here in case anybody knows but I'll visit Royal Mail tomorrow to ask:

I'm trying to book the delivery service via parcel2go.com for those outside of the UK that bought some of these units (China and Spain to be exact) and DPD states everywhere that anything containing a battery of any kind cannot be send, while Parcelforce states it must be sent through the post office and not booked online. Has anyone had any experience with this or can recommend anything regarding these controllers shipped abroad?

    Some info I found:

    http://www.dhl.co.uk/en/express/shipping/shipping_advice/lithium_batteries.html
    http://sales.dpd.co.uk/content/lithiumbatteries/

UPS might not care, though that's my experience.
Though in the case of these controllers they should not be an issue. Really they only look for the ones that aren't stable (remember those phones that exploded?) and most others are fine.

Should this be a problem I would ask the service you plan to use with a photo of the battery within it (open a normal DS3/Sixaxis for that battery) and attach it.

The last controller I sent out was to Jackhead in Germany which was an engineering sample DS3 with prototype Sixaxis sensor (this was a really nice controller let me tell ya). No problems with shipping it as far as I was informed.

As long as it's listed as a game controller you're probably okay.
