    Yo,

Ok I desided to sell this one (if I can) since I could use the cash for a 64DD unit (I badly need one).

I have a prototype version (not sure if it's a beta or alpha but it's definantly not final as the final plays much better) of Cocoto Kart Racer DS. The game is on a 1st model Official DS flash cart (the one with the long pcb sticking out).

I am looking for around $300 for this shipped anywhere & insured.

See picture (sorry my cell phone sucks at pictures).
Video of the game running by PM request with your email (too large to post in the thread).

    --edit--
Game is now up on ebay.

I see a few people viewing but no post. This is a very interesting thing to have in a collection (mostly over it being a beta & being a first model ds cart which are becomming rare, all devs now have the new model carts which are smaller).

I personaly would keep it but I sadly need cash to buy some 64DD stuff. I need a unit I can poke to see register states (currently trying to emulate the system).

damn, i remember playing mario 64 at nintendo germanys hq on one of these protocarts over 2 years ago while visiting a friend who worked there at the time.
would love to buy it, but its a bit too rich for my blood, unfortunately.

what exactly is your status of emulating the 64dd?
sorry in case i'm not recognizing you, but are you involved in any of the available n64 emulators?
have the disks been dumped yet and how much of the hardware is understood already?
from what i read in the offical documentation, 64dd programmers were supposed to use nintendos "multi-file system".
given that all 64dd games conform to this standard, wouldnt it be more convenient to emulate the system on a file system instead of a low-level basis?

not trying to be a smartass here, i'm just curious.

I'm the author of Monkey64 for PSP.

So far i've only been able to document registers & what it does on boot. I need to poke the status register to see what it returns after a HW reset. From what I know it exspects a value to return, if its not correct it errors, if its of 3 senarios it writes something to the cmd register then nothing else happens. I have this all documented in detail but waiting to pull out more info.

I have found info on ripping the IPL rom from a comercial unit on emutalk forums which I would like to do (currently debugging the ipl4rom).

Dumps exsist but not publicly. I know who has some but he wont budge. I think if I get somewhere I can finaly get him to budge or atleast share some info on how to dump so I can get 1 dumped myself. As well I am working with barc0de to see if we can't figure out more on the system.

Truthfuly in the end. 64DD should be rather easy once more is understood about the communicasion pipeline & registers. It should ultimately come down to managing a few more registers & expanding the PI dma code to suport the transfer from 64DD to ram.

come on. Anybody want this beautiful jem?

I'm willing to trade it for 64DD related items as well (64DD games or a loose unit).

I really need to sell and get some cash for a 64DD.

You found a 64dd right? If not maybe the 64dd dev on ebay right now might be some good to you. Otherwise it's pretty pointless.
