    I have here a DATEL COMMS LINK card. I bought it a few years ago at ebay. unfortunately I have never used the card, because my computer has no ISA slot. so I don't know if it's working. klick at the thumbnails to view a bigger image of the card.

    originally I wanted to use it for my cd64. so I would prefer to trade it for a parallelport adaptor.

    if nobody has a parallelport adaptor, I would sell it. I don't know which price is acceptable for it. maybe 10 USD?

    Parallel Ports are quite common, they are even on your motherboard right now.

    yes, that's true. But the PPA for the CD64 is a special adaptor. You need it for the communication between CD64 and the PC parallel port. You cannot communicate without the adaptor or the COMMS LINK CARD.

    I thought the comms link card was a 25pin Serial. So is it parallel, but not quite like whats on the regular PCs?

    it's a special parallport port. unfortunately I don't know what the COMMS LINK actually does. I just know that I have to use it for communication between cd64 and PC.
