FS/FT Super Paper Mario Wii USA/NTSC

Like the title says, i have on offer a brand new factory sealed copy of super paper mario. Thanks to a mix up i ended up with 2 copies of the game. It's the USA NTSC version.

just out of curiosity would this run on a euro wii modded with wiifree (and i know im probably going to get flamed for this)

I have no idea if it would run on a modified Wii since i'm using a USA unit myself

 

NO, do NOT run super paper mario US on a JPN or PAL system. I repeat, do NOT. it will brick your system if it can successfully boot (through a mod-chip for example) , as it upgrades the console's firmware.

 

actually thats not true, it will not brick your system as long as you have the latest firmware updates on the wii (2.2 i bleive), and its connected to the net

my sons been playing a copy of the game for a couple of weeks now, but id rather have the orginal as well (yep, i know im gonna get flamed for having copies) and its been fine, it did ask to update when i 1st put the disc in, but as i already had the latest firmware it skipped it

 

Err, if you have it running, why did you ask if it'll run?

How about get it, try it, and if it doesn't, at least you can justify having the copy?

 

thanks for clarifying that diddydonn, as I still don't own a god-damn wii, although i m waiting for one since december

 

got mine on launch day for my 8yr old son, then installed a wiifree chip for it so i could buy imports (cooking mama, super swing golf , trauma centre etc) and have since found out you can only play copied imports not originals, which is annoying, and half of those dont work anyways due to region protection!

but at least having it chipped i can still play imports on it, albeit backups and yes i do own most of the originals for which i have copies, although still trrying to locate a few of them

it is annoying though when you have to wait months for a game thats been out in the u.s since day 1 (trauma centre is a good example, was out on launch day in the u.s. and we still dont have a definate release date in the uk yet!)

and back to the topic, same goes for super paper mario, i admit i have downloaded it, but am trying to aquire the original. but even if i do buy the original, i cant play it, only the backup due to the nature of the modchip i currently have installed.

 

take that chipout and put in a wiikey, it's way better. boots gamecube and wii originals.
