You have to post a price with your sale. Open offers aren't allowed I'm afraid.

Would you be interested in selling just the games?

If not then I would still be interested in the set. How much do you want for it?

Sorry to go OT (truly I am) but you say open offers aren't allowed..well I'm sure I've seen a load of sales threads for open offers.
Anyway, Kanemochi, you will have mail very soon.:)

What the hell is this thing? Looks like a cross between an SNES and an N64.

it is an amazing A'can it was a system that was suppose to be as amazing as the ps3 with out all the annoying sony hype made in 1983. I wouldn't have know it was possible but it was with use of nuclear isotopes only found in A'ki moutian. So i know it is amazing but 1983 was a good year.

  10. ...I have no idea what in the hell you were just on about.

The Super A'can is a Taiwanese 16-bit system that had capabilities supposedly rivalling the SNES, but as it was only really distributed in Taiwain (plus had some lousy game licenses), it never really achieved any sort of popularity. Fairly common over there, I hear, but pretty rare here in the 'states - there's only something like three or four people known to own one, AlienWorkshop being one of them.

Yes, it's been the rule for years. Just unfortunate that this is the first I've spotted since I don't have time to read all the posts in this section. I'm not singling out kanemochi (if you are kanemochi why do you need to sell the A-can :p) this goes for everyone including myself :)

Maybe he needs the money to make his centurion amex membership fee?

    A'can is pretty damn sweet.

Now if I could just find that damn turbografx-16 printer kiosk, I would be set.

As i told to those who emailed, the A-can set belongs to a taiwanese friend and he's asking 6000 RenMinBi (close to 750$)
I only get 10% commission by helping him, item will be shipped from him in taiwan direct

GSL is on the right track with this.

The Super A'can is an obscure 16-bit system that originated in Taiwan. It's not a clone, but an original system, and it's actually more powerful than the SNES. Rare outside of Taiwan, and uncommon in Taiwan. When the system failed in Taiwan, Funtech tried to dump it onto the US market. They were sold for scrap parts, then distributed through an electronics magazine for really cheap. I doubt they sold well, so most of them were probably dumped/thrown out. One thing that is common in the units that were distributed in the US is that all the screws were missing from the case. Also, the units that were distributed in the US did not come complete, since they were scrap after all, so no box or manual (I don't know if the controller and connections came with them either, but I kind of doubt it). The only way to get a CIB system is to buy it from someone in Taiwan. Also, there are several games for the system, about 20. You will usually find the A'can in the hands of hardcore console collectors.

Here's a list of known A'can owners on ASSEMbler:

    Mr. Sound-About
    Twitami
    Alien Workshop

If they are common in Taiwan can't they easily be bought cheap there and resold at a higher markup in Japan, USA, etc?

Yeah, bummer, eh? He gets $75 for posting a thread on a forum, and talking to prospective buyers. I got $50 for working my butt off for a whole day!

Damn, $750 is a lot of money for a games console... Hell, even the next gen ones won't be that!
