I'm at work and don't have the full spec of this particular laptop, but it has served me very well. It's in perfect working order, however as it's widescreen it isn't as 'train' friendly as it could be. I do a LOT of travelling on trains (over 1000miles per month) and I like to work, watch film etc. But it is wider than the average laptop to accomodate the screen and Virgin Trains give you so little space it really isn't worth the hassle.

It's a 1.6GHz Intel processor with 1Gb memory on WinXP, wireless intergrated. (Can't remember the size of HDD, but I will post information later). I am also bundling it with a micro camera, genuine copy of Windows XP (HP edition, but it is full), genuine copy of Office '03 and genuine copy of Publisher '03. Comes with a genuine HP PSU and a battery that holds a reasonable charge (I'd say about 2 hours+) I'll even bundle in a very nifty padded laptop case that cost £50 at the time and is in perfect condition.

Going on prices obtained elsewhere, condition of my unit & the additional bits and pieces I am looking for £250 approx (ovno). I'll put this bit in bold as it seems to mystify people "NOTE" I have said approx & or very near offer! <That means you can negotiate, but I will be realistic so you should be too>

<Images to come later on tonight - camera needed charging up this morning!>

Any queries PM me, any grumbles PM, any opinions PM me, any negative comments get too....

IF you have an Apple iBook, with say a 12" screen and reasonable spec then I would be open to trade depending on condition, whether you had a DVD on it and the software bundled. I'll just hand it to the wife ;-)

Is it just queries and grumbles about the laptop you are accepting via PM, or are you now going to be the resident agony aunt?

'Dear Parris, I have strong sexual feelings towards my Llama...'

and i know this is off topic, i just couldnt resist...

I want this man banned !!!!

I am just trying to stave off the few AG members who cannot resist popping onto sales threads and imbedding their 10p worth of opinion re pricing, where cheaper items can be obtained or whatever the gripe of the week is! IF for any reason someone has evidence to suggest something really isn't worth the asking price, then a quick PM of the information so I can verify before the whole shooting match becomes a spoiler it would be appreciated. Until then I shall resist as frankly it's selling elsewhere for this price.

You can also be guaranteed it isn't damaged (other than minor scuff marks), doesn't cut out, overheat, burn through your table top or have dead pixels etc.

Genuine sales / interest / queries very welcome

Please dont make a post when you clearly know your not following the rules. Next time wait till you have your photo otherwise its going to start taking mods twice as long to check posts.

I am adding an image tonight and would not accept any sale until potential buyer(s) were fully satisfied with the item. I'm aware that I need an image and fully intended to add one, however the camera battery was flat as a pancake this morning. Hopefully it is understood that I am a genuine seller & not a muppet ;-) Looking for a quick sale.

Yep but if everyone starts posting "yeah ill add pictures tonight" (quiet a few people been doing this lately). Then that means me or someone else has to come back to this thread again later on and if the pictures not up once again and so on. It just adds to the time spent moderating. Nothing against you as we all know your a decent seller.

I've worked on a fair few dv4000s, and they're pretty decent machines. As it has genuine Office and a case, someone will be getting a bargain! Which version of Office 2003 is it, though (e.g. Professional, Small Business)? Also, is it XP Home or Pro? Oh yes, and what kind of optical drive does it have?

Full spec listed. Sorry for delay but I struggled to remain online last night. IE issues and MSN messenger failed too.

    Intel Premium 1.6Ghz processor
    1Gb RAM
15.5" Widescreen display (clear, bright, no dead pixels)
    Toshiba 80Gb HDD
    Matshita UJ-840D DVD-RW
    Modem (56k)
    Wireless built-in
    Ethernet NIC
    2 x PCMCIA slots
    iLINK
    4 x USB 2 ports
    Expansion Port 2
    Digital Media slot (SD/MS/Pro/MMC/SM/XD)
    S-Video out
    VGA Out
    Mic input
    Headphone out
    Genius VideoCAM (USB Internet camera)
    Windows XP Home Edition
Windows Office 2003 (Teacher & Student Edition)
Windows Publisher 2003 (Teacher & Student Edition)
i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher & Office Tools.
HP Notebook guide, OS disc, Drivers & System software (all genuine)
Targus Laptop bag (not all that old, which cost £50)

Also included is a genuine Microsoft Office 2003 study guide if you want to go for your Microsoft Office Special-ist (spell it normally and it becomes SPAM!) or Expert certificates ;-)

Overall condition is very good, however the left hand corner has a knock on the facade of the main unit. It does not affect operation. Also, through the 2 years of usage I've had out of the unit the paint on the facade has worn away on two areas. Could be touched up, but frankly as it doesn't affect the unit I just left it. Catch is working, both hinges are complete, ON/OFF works properly and never stalls on me. HDD is quiet and for a laptop it operates really quietly.

As stated £250ovno (Sorry, I do not accept PayPal).

Printer, iMac, Desk & House not included, but is a SERVING SUGGESTION. ;-)
