This sale is for 1 x Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium PAL console unit.

Item was one of two sent back to Microsoft in December for repair. Both have now come back with new motherboards & DVD. Dated 2006-10-03, which means you have until 2009-10-03 on the 3 years RROD warranty.

Fully functional console, no issues and tested for several hours using GoW without any issue. Cannot tell what type of motherboard has been inserted.

This is for the console only, no PSU, no controller, no HDD, nowt else!

£100 ovno - would accept a trade on perhaps some Sony or MS dev items, but would have to be something I didn't currently own!

I might.... but I'll need to clear it with the bank first.

(edited because I may have changed my mind).

Well, make me a reasonable offer or trade!

However, it makes sense if you (like me) can find all the other parts reasonably cheaply. A controller cost me £7 on eBay, a PSU can be obtained for roughly £30+ and add a suitable cable for whichever output does you best (no more than £10) and Bob's your uncle. So for about £50 extra you can be up and running with a new 360....

But then only a few £ more for a core/arcade pack with some games and the back up of a new machine that can be exchanged at the point of purchase

Stupid question, as the opening post info already somewhat states it, but this is a pre-HDMI model, right?
(I mean, could never know for sure without seeing it, since it's been serviced...)

Sigh! I think that I shall stop posting any sales threads on AG for the simple reason that nobody bothers to observe the rules, read the details or actually consider their comments might have an adverse effect on the possibility of selling the unit! I wouldn't dream off offering up such comments on anyones sales thread, despite frequently thinking 'Good lord, that's a stupid price!'

I have stated the obvious. It's newly refurbished and has a totally new motherboard & DVD unit. £100 is NOT a lot to ask for a current generation console even without all the other bits. They are going elsewhere for this price without arguement!

Actually I just checked on eBay and frankly I am not ripping the piss with this price. If you can obtain it cheaper, then fair enough, but you take the risk as to whether you have a genuine seller who gives a shit (i.e. me, who doesn't as a general rule embellish my sales or sell crap that fails 5 mins later) or someone who just tells you any old shit to off-load a well dodgy 360 that will end-up dying on you. I don't feel it is necessary to justify this price, please refrain from making sour puss comments!

I'm thinking of a few members who might have upgraded their units only to discover that they failed, damaged the unit, perhaps not covered by warranty anymore or whatever!

I didn't expect to defend my sale on whether it might be cheaper to obtain all the other bits elsewhere, because I imagined this would be attractive to someone who already has all the bits and pieces from their dead unit. That makes this a bit more attractive to the average bear!

Lastly the OVNO is a hint... a clue to the fact that anyone interested in the unit can make an offer!

Mooseblaster, for atleast having the balls to stick with it, I would drop the price to £90 plus P&P. Hope that helps! ;-) This way, by comparison to eBay I am actually working out cheaper than most and I will guarantee that this unit is fully functional. I shall also send my details to you so you can re-register the unit in your name, so if there are any issues you can simply call MS. That's something no eBayer has done for me yet, even when asked! :)

Parris clearly stated that the price was negotiable and it was also open to trades so you would get it at a competitive price and from a seller you can trust unlike the second hand 360 market on ebay.

In conclusion to the costs to buy up a console in parts than buying a complete pre-owned system in the shops - a complaint I initially raised:

Pre-owned Xbox 360 Premium with an extra controller from Gamestation: £244.98

Parris' console (soon to be mine) + brand new 20GB Hard Drive + 2 brand new boxed wireless controllers + second hand component cable + brand new power supply: £201.73 *INCLUDING* P+P! A saving of £43.25... and all official parts!

Admittedly, am still waiting for the cheque to clear at Parris' end, there is the potential from Gamestation to get 2 SELECTED games from their '2 for £20' with it - but still, that is still enough money to get 4 games instead of 2 OF MY OWN CHOICE!

I'm as happy as Larry - if Larry could get the chicks.
