Up for sale is a very minty NTSC SWC DX2 w/32m of memory. It includes the box, instructions, plastic baggie (not pictured) box and box insert. This unit is in great shape and looks as good as the other brand new DX2 I picked up from FFE years ago. The DX2 is a great unit and you can hook up a Zip Drive and load files from there. It also has a working floppy and of course the parallel port. No external power supply is required w/the DX2.

Looking for $150, this may be one of the last chances to get one of these in such excellent shape. PM w/any questions.

Anything 32m or under which is 99% of games, also does not support games w/FX chips.

Is it expandable to 64mbit like the other model? Also, forgive my ignorance, but does the cartridge slot fit NTSC-J or NTSC-U?

I was fairly sure the DX2 required a PSU, but I might be wrong about that, are you sure it's not necessary?

It is expandable to 64mbit, yes. The reason I'm selling is the other model I have is 64m and I have no need for 2 units taking up space.

The cart slot fits Japan, but I assume like SWCs and SWC DXs, if you bend the slot forward you can put US carts in...in case you need to back something up.

I've never used a power supply in my DX2 or any SWC I've had. YMMV as I've heard some people having issues without a power supply.

What's the deal with expanding it to 64m, then? What kind of RAM, and how hard to track down?

It would require an expansion board. Not really worth tracking down to play the >32m games, of which I can only think of one.

There's a few I think. The postage to the UK would be prohibitive, but either way I probably can't afford it, so I don't mean to get your hopes up. The price is excellent, anyway, I can't imagine you'll have much trouble selling it. DX2s tend to go for a bit more, especially when boxed and complete.

Yea, it's priced to move. I'm out of my collector phase and getting down to just the items I use. I'd rather see this unit in the home of someone who will appreciate it than just sitting in my closet unused.
