    Well, I have been holding on to this guy for a while but honestly don't have all that much interest in it any more. It works very good for what I have used it. Includes everything needed to get it working. AV Cables (not pictured), controller, system. If you need to know anything else just ask me. I am looking to get $130 paypal or so plus whatever it costs to ship the thing but feel free to offer me something or make a trade as I am quite negotiable.

    Gone.

    just out of sheer curiosity;

    what is that encripted unencrypted switch? i tought that any 3do can read burned games and that they had no special protection...

    were the files on disc encrypted? lastly what extra features does this machine have?

    That switch allows the console to play unsigned code. It is true that any retail 3DO can read copied software; however, they will not read unsigned code. This means that you can copy software (because the digital signature is also being copied), but you can't for example run homebrews or hacked images.

    The only extra feature this machine will have will be an extra BIOS to enable the "unencrypted" mode.

    Lastly, the two private keys were very recently (2 months ago) factored and a tool for signing images has been made available so now anything can be signed. Hopefully, we'll start to see some homebrew soon.
