All of them are good chips.

The Modbo series uses The Matrix Infinity Firmware which allows:
    • Direct boot PSone and PS2 Retail Domestic and Imports
    • Direct boot PSone and PS2 BackUps, HK Silver
    • Force PAL/NTSC Video for NTSC/PAL Games
    • Dev1 Mode
    • Dev2 Mode
    • Compatible with V4-V19 (300XXR-900XX)

    The install difficulty is a 5 from a 1 - 10 scale, 1 Easy - 10 Hard

    The Mars Pro is $17

It's not listed because I only have two left and most likely will not be restocking.
The pictures shows the Mars Pro to compare Size and Solder Point Layout.
The Mars Pro sells for $45 at a well known AUS site.

It's all yours if you want one or two.

MM2 or Stealth 2.8, both will give you partial stealth in the 1000 series

Are there any major differences between the two? Is one easier to install than the other?, etc.

Both use 7 wires but the MM2 is a little easier to install since all the points are on the bottom of the board.

You can install a Modbo 4.0 in a slim PS2, I have one installed in my SCPH-90001; although, it may be easier to install the mars.

True, you can install a Modbo, but the Mars uses a different Firmware.
Both chips use the same solder point.
Most PAL modders like the Mars Pro over the Modbo.
