As promised - I'll offer it to you guys first if any of you are interested.

These four bottles of wine are super rare - The only person I know of that has one or two of these is Lingjr. These bottles of wine were used to commemorate certain milestones that Sony Computer Entertainment have reached such as the amount of units manufactured etc.

The first bottle is a 1995 cabernet sauvignon and commemorates the second movement of PlayStation 2 consoles. The bottle is dated the release date - 4th march 2000.

The second botttle (and my favourite) celbrates the production of 55 million PlayStation units on April 16th 1999. The wine is a 1996 Merlot.

The third bottle is a 1994 cabernet sauvignon and commemorates the manufacture of 30 million PlayStation consoles world wide on February 5th 1998.

The fourth bottle was to celebrate the PlayStation awards in 2001. The wine is a 1995 cabernet sauvignon.

Each bottle is 50 GBP (postage extra - buyer can choose type) each but the 55 million bottle is 60 GBP because it has a tag and a box. If anyone wants all four bottles then maybe we can come to some sort of arrangement to include postage too.

Either PM me or email me if anyone is interested - if not much success by the end of the week, I'll put them on as a bulk lot on Ebay.

EDIT: THE PS2 LAUNCH BOTTLE OF WINE IS ON HOLD FOR A MEMBER UNTIL PAYMENT ARRIVES IN THE POST.

ONLY THE THREE PLAYSTATION BOTTLES ARE LEFT.

Benedict Arnold - you have very good eyesite!

Nope they aren't for sale I'm afraid (I like them too much even though I have completed them) - i've had them since new too so bit of sentimental value. I even kept the receipts as I got them on holiday in Florida way back in 1999!

  6. I couldn't tell the third game, but it look like a final fantasy type. What were you doing in Florida? European vacation at Disney World?

Do all the wine bottles actually have wine in them? (I think I answered my question by looking closely at the picture sooo...) ... Anyone know if it's legal to send alocohol through the mail to the US?

The next game is US version Final Fantasy IX. All my games are US NTSC version that I have had since new. None of my games are for sale.

I was on a holiday yes. Went to all the theme parks and all the other touristy stuff such as Kennedy Space Centre etc. Best holiday I have ever had - can't wait to go back.

You can buy wine on the internet so I assume you can send it through the mail, how else would you get it!

Whomever you do sell them to be sure to see that it's legal to ship them there. There is lots of stuff I can buy on the internet but it doesn't mean it is legal where I live. It would be a shame if some alcoholic customs official ended up with them.

As for origin I think sony owns massive shares in various san francisco region wineries, particularly the alexander valley is quite well known, but it is just a common practice for companies to get huge shares of a vineyards barrels for shareholders/special occasions. As for the next origin, if you don't mind me asking, where did you happen to buy these originally dickibow?

  11. That's what I'm curious. I know BuyAtari has a wine bottle too with PS etched in the glass. Looks cool.
