1 x Sega Naomi Universal (full sized) cabinet. It comprises of Toshiba 29" 31k VGA monitor, newly fitted, bright and clear. Recently polished screen has restored it to former glory! Looks lovely.

The CP consists of a 6 buttons loom, newly fitted Sanwa buttons and Sega Shed supplied CP and overlay. This new overlay, CP, side art etc costs approximately £110 on it's own, plus the new Sanwa buttons cost roughly £24. The joysticks are good, responsive and have plenty of life left in them.

The artwork is complete on the unit, including left & right leg cover 'Net City' stickers, but please note there is NO plastic marquee holder with this unit.

The entire system has been fully refurbished and is a good clean and complete condition. Comes with a Naomi 1 motherboard and if I get the asking price then 'Virtua Striker 2 Ver. 2000' will be included (worth £40). Note, this is a cart based system. If you intend to use GDrom then please tell me in advance and I shall fit a suitable Japanese E version BIOS.

All CamLocks are present and work, the coin mechanism is intact and works, the audio is perfectly fine.

This system is ideal for arcade use with the supplied motherboard or could be easily converted for MAME or Jamma use. (You'll need a 15k convertor for the monitor - not supplied).

Item can be collected from me in Glasgow or you can arrange a courier - I have a couple I can recommend who'd ship this unit for approximately £80-100 anywhere within mainland UK. No overseas bidding please as I cannot guarantee safety of item.

£400 ovno. Might be open to trade on other Naomi / arcade related items, so please contact me via PM if interested. Only selling because I have a newly refurbished sit down cabinet now and don't need multiple Naomi units. ;-) Good luck!

Very nice cab, I'd grab it if I was in the UK. :love2:
The price isn't too bad either, Parris!

There's been a bit of work done on it, plus some cash spent on spare parts. I have seen really beaten up units recently selling on eBay for £250-300 mark with dubious screens, bad CPs, old buttons and uppers, scuffed to hell, no artwork and non functioning motherboards, so I think it's a good price too. I am open to offers and trade :)

Wow, I thought this would sell in a heart-beat. They get snapped up sharpish on eBay, but I wanted to avoid hefty charges and the like. Well, it'll be going that route if nobody here (or elsewhere) is interested in either cash or trade.

Never mind, I could always keep it and convert it to Mame.

Just bought a rotary polisher and waiting for glass restorer to arrive in post, so the screen might be polished shortly. That might help!

I'm ideally looking for other arcade hardware. PM me if you have anything that you think I may be interested in. For example I would consider swapping it for a Crazy Taxi, 18 Wheeler, Club Kart or Wild Rider style Naomi cabinet.

Scratches now removed (see thread in arcade section if you wish to find out how!)

Yeah, I kind of feel your pain - seems that few UK residents are into Naomi Universal uprights, but might just be on this site as not 'cade specific. They sell like hot cakes on eBay! It can be easily converted to sit down, which is what most owners eventually do. I might chuck in a few extras such as a new J-Pac board and wiring loom, PSU for Jamma.

If it doesn't sell then it'll go that route here I think...

Surprised it hasn't sold, but perhaps the scratched screen put people off? Might see some movement here or elsewhere now.

    Damn this financial crisis!

Thanks, that would be cool - if not, don't worry! I might pull this thread as things are way quieter than I expected. It's just taking up space and isn't an essential sale.

Thanks for asking however, no problem. There is someone in Aberdeen potentially interested via another forum. More local to me!
