FS:Sega Saturn silvers/beta discs

Now Sold.
For sale my entire collection of Saturn beta/silvers. They all work in my PAL retail saturn and as you should know there is no way without modification to play a copied Saturn game so these are not copies. All have the pressed number letter combinations in the centre ring like their retail counterparts. Some are supplied in Saturn cd-r cases which they came to me in (no confusion these discs are pressed and not burned). Some have pen on the surface which was used by the previous owner to identify them. Any questions please ask.

I would LOVE to buy this lot off you, mate. This would be a good boost to my silvers collection, which is quite extensive already. Unfortunately, I might be losing my job this week, so no can do! :-(

Are these all silvers? If so, they're all identical to the retail version and not betas - no beta was pressed. Silvers were sent out to magazines by Sega before the discs were sent to be silk screened.

Anyway, I'll let you know should my fortune change! Argh, why did I have to forget to buy a lottery ticket on Saturday? heh

Any chance that you could sell some separately?

 

For now i`d rather sell the whole lot in one go, there would inevitably be a few titles that would sell easily leaving a whole lot of others just sitting here. It`s quite a collection and it would be best to keep it together.

 

I`m open to offers, but would still like to sell this as a lot, cheers.

Price lowered to £250, for around 50 silvers some of which are highly sought after Saturn titles.

 

I'm a huge SS fan, but , would like to know what silvers are? What were they used for? I know this is a sales thread...

At that price its almost worth the hassle buying them to keep the ones I want and sell the rest on.

I shall see how the finances are after my latest nintendo dev purchase at the end of the week (if they are still available by then).

These are press discs from Sega Europe. They work on an unmodified Saturn (they are regular presses without the label). I also recognize the case SOE used.

 

Yeah, those are "That's" cases (today known as "Taiyo Yuden").

 

As far as i can tell going by the pressed serial number in the centre which corresponds to the retail version of the same game they are real. They were bought from an ex SEGA Europe employee aswell and came with a lot of other dev material all of which is genuine.
