    SOLD.

I've finally decided to sell my Sonic 10th Anniversary Edition Dreamcast - I need money!
I'm sure a lot of you guys know all about this console, but still:
    • Signed by Yuji Naka of Sonic Team fame
    • Sega of Europe limited edition
    • Really, really rare (50 units at the last estimate, I think)
It's in great condition with the original controller. I also have a set of 4 boxed Sonic figurines that came with it, these will be included.

I'm looking for around £900 for the Dreamcast, based on similar sales I've seen. PM me with offers, serious buyers only. I'm afraid I can accept PayPal only.
Worldwide delivery from the UK by DHL.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them here and I'll either reply or PM you.

Ah, sorry. Should this thread be closed and reopened once I have permission, and who do I ask for said permission? The admin?

    Price added. Sorry again.

Yes you would probably need to ask the admin because the price is over $300 and you have less then 50 posts
you could always just wait to get 50 posts or ask the admin( though check the thread about guidelines because there may be something else)

That is a very nice system however

Looks brilliant although a tad expensive for me! How were these originally sold? Competition prizes ... ??

I think that some were given out to SEGA employees at one time. Mine did, however, come from a competition in a newspaper a number of years ago. I remember that I had just bought myself a Dreamcast when this huge package arrived at my doorway. I was really pissed that I'd wasted money buying my own until I found out just how rare it was.

A friend of mine won one of these on some gamer tv (or some cable tv thing) quiz show, I saw the video once and the only question I remember was "what colour are Lemmings hair?". That was the quesion that clinched it Ithink.

He sold his in about 2003 I think for some £2.5k or so. If I recall the one he had was 1 of 8 or so, somehow different to the rest of them.

They are quite rare mainly as they are decent European based rare machines and there aren't that many of them, with most being given away as prizes and some being given to important people. £900 seems a lot but a few years ago they were easily selling at over £2k (thats 2000 UK pounds and not dollars ($4k at current exchange rates although at the time it would have been $3.2k).

So are they are all PAL (European) region consoles then? Are they any different from normal shop retail ones apart from the awesome paint job?

Limited edition, signed by head of Sonic Team, but other than that exactly the same as a retail console.
