Sony Playstation 2 Tool DTL-T10k spare parts haul

The following spare parts are sold on the condition that the final owner understands that due to the nature of the spares, they are sold as seen and cannot be verified. I have done my best to test, however I am unable to do a huge amount as there isn't a complete system to cobble together. During the time I pulled several faulty units apart I did my best to remove parts I knew to be faulty and simply binned them. This lot comes from a pile of bits sent to me and I rifled through to make the now sold PS2 Tool 'Frankentool'.

I have 1 of my own working units, but it is incomplete and needs a PS2 Tool controller PCB. I know how hellishly difficult it is to get spares when you need them.

Thus, these parts are SOLD AS SEEN - some tested and found faulty, some untested, others not tested beyond power applied and seemed fine.

    SOLD

P.S. The PS2 Tool that I was working on is missing the following

1 x HDD set (included, but not in image)
1 x CPU (Intel Pentium 233 MMX) one spare is included, but may also have fault
1 x Controller PCB (good luck!)
1 x Controller PCB cable (one is included, seems perfectly fine, but not in image)
1 x Suitable PSU (one is included, but wrong shape)

Parts of the casing are available, but still lacks a few items such as blue foot (base panel), 1 x facade and 1 x mohawk.

Other than that, it's testing and tweaking. I'd say 90% of a machine.

Connected to power, once HDD set is dropped in, the unit boots! Read initial post VERY carefully!

Spent 2 months getting this unit to this stage :)

If I still had my old Tool my heart would have stopped working upon seeing this

Nice selection of drives btw - was there anything on them when you got 'em?

I haven't had the time to investigate beyond booting up :) There might very well be interesting material on them, but the new owner (when established) will have that delight!

I am clearing space for incoming arcade items - workshop looked like a bomb had hit it. Down to my last few items now!

Not forgotten your PS2 - it's sitting here, but needed to send several paid items via DHL and FedEx today before looking at your unit.

So are you parting this out so people can get what they need or do they have to buy the whole thing...

The whole bundle has now been SOLD to one person. I have however previously been in contact with a number of Tool owners I knew to be looking for spare parts (for example Unclejun) and dealt with these people previously.

Anyone now looking for spares should contact Vectrex_Rox to establish whether he is willing to perhaps trade a set of HDD for (example) a working Sony Playstation one development CDrom that I know he's been after for ages.

I do however have a full PS2 Tool, in superb condition, but the controller ports / memory ports don't function. Age old issue!

I am trying to find a fix for this with a mate of mine - any information on that would be gratefully received.

Were you still after HDD? Is your unit still not acting as it should?

Speak to Vectrex, he'll probably help you out. He's a really nice guy!
