    Hi Everyone,

    More stuff fore sale!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    A new batch of Sega Saturn mod boards have arrived from China. These chips work the same as the previous batch. That is, for the majority of them you connect the ribbon cables, add +5V power, and go.

    Sega Saturn Mod Boards ($14.99 CND each)

    [IMG]

    Some of these look like they've been sitting in a dusty box out in the sun for a while, but cosmetic condition aside there should be no issues. All chips were claimed by the supplier to be tested by hand, but dirty chips of questionable providence is all standard fair in the Chinese black market.

    Shipping will depend on buyers location. Please only buy if you know what your doing. Unfortunately due to the end-of-line nature of these items, I cannot always guarantee a replacement if stock is unavailable. Please do contact me if something doesn't work however, as I will be happy to work with you in order to make thing right. Bare in mind silly things like modifying the boards/ribbon cables and expecting a refund after your experiments fail don't count (^_^);

    First PM, first serve.

    NOTE: Due to limited supply the manufacture was unable to guarantee the type/version of mod board received. Some boards are 64-pin compatible and some are not. Naturally I cannot open each board and scrutinize the chips for the right parts/numbers so distribution and models will be random. Please be aware of this to avoid any possible disappointment.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    For sale I have Dreamcast SD card readers from China. These are being priced matched to sellers in China, except they are being shipped from Canada. No waiting for months for items to arrive, no "for-commission" companies, and no overpaying due to price gouging.

    Dreamcast SD Card Reader ($15.99 CND each - Blue, Orange, Green)

    These are the 3nd version of the readers which do not require a modified cable and work directly with SD cards. Shipping will depend on buyers location. Please only buy if you know what your doing. Naturally, I cannot guarantee or be responsible for any modification to your console or to the device itself. (^_^);

    First come, first serve. There are three colors available. I will try to give colors people want, but it is only a loose option. If I am out of a color, you'll just get one at random.

    For the Saturn mod-chips, you JUST connect the +5v and ribbon cable or you obviously have to solder a wire to one of the IC legs (depending on the ver.)?

    There are numerous mod chip versions in this batch, but from my recollection almost all of them are plug-and-play. You simply add +5v, connect the ribbons and your good to go. But this is all from memory, as I packed these up for shipping a good while ago.

    You could probably stick the cartridge in another GB Copier and try to dump it that way, but I never personally tried it.

    I've got a model 1 (64 pin) Saturn. I'd take a modchip if you could dig one out that'd work in it. Are you in Vancouver, by any chance? If so I wouldn't mind dropping by and sorting through them myself to save you the work.

    Sorry, I'm not in Vancouver. Your best bet would be to contact APE and work something out with him. He has purchased chips in bulk from me before and for a little extra, he'll be able to get you the specific chip type you'll need.

    So this is supposed to be a gamble or something? You aren't sure which modchops work for which system?

    About that, I don't know if you've mentioned it already but are these the ones that require you solder directly onto the connector?

    If so, is there a way around that? NGPC<->DC cable only?

    You don't need to since I don't have any in stock and I just read your message here anyways. (^_^); But as I mentioned, I dunno when they might go back in stock. We'll see depending on demand. I think most people got one already.

    Sure, PM Sent!

    Missed this one a while ago. No, this isn't a gamble. All boards work for 21-Pin Saturn machines that have a 32-pin chip CD-ROM controller board. What I cannot guarantee is if you receive a board that can be moddified (or works out of box) for 64-pin chip CD-ROM controller boards. Some boards work great for this, some don't. That's the only thing which I can't guarantee. However APE has done lots of work investigating and sorting Saturn boards from me, so he is in a perfect position for dealing with special requests. If your in need of such board, I suggest you contact him for one. (^_^);
