For sale here is a DTL-T10000 H J Sony Playstation 2 Development 'Tool'. I just don't get the time or space to justify keeping it anymore.

Also included is a full set of 5th edition manuals, an external dev drive enclosure (DTL-H20400(No hard drive included)) and pc card & ethernet adapter (DTL-H10010)and two power adapters for it, both a 100-240v DTL-H10020 (With figure of 8 port, will include a UK plug) and the 100v SCPH-10200.

The Tool itself has 2 hard drives inside it and the later pci card that is ram & cpu upgradeable and features the standard monitor compatable vga port and mouse & keyboard ports, unlike the earlier revisions.

Its in good physical condition bar one piece of missing plastic which can be seen in the photos and a few minor scratches. Its in fully working condition bar two things - the IC clip on the controller port has come away from the pcb. Therefore you can't control games on this unit. It might be an easy fix for someone with a bit of skill, but personally I don't and therefore didn't risk it. I do have a spare controller pcb which may be included, I'm waiting on a PM. The other thing is the DVD drive won't open - it sticks when the button is pressed. This happened when I first recieved it, though it was fixed after I dis and reassembled it. Looks like its gone back to its old state during the move to my new house. Its an easy fix, but I just don't have the time to do a Tool disassembly at the moment - look at the guide Paris made. I can guarantee that the laser works.

This damage occured during transit when it was shipped to me, so any posting will be ENTIRELY at the buyer's risk. Therefore I won't arrange for it to be posted, the buyer will, though I'm fully willing to work together to get it to you, i.e. I'll stay at home whatever day if its to be picked up by carrier etc. I recomend you pick it up in person (I'm in UK - Sheffield, Crookesmoor) or you book a carrier (Wouldn't recommend DHL as they're the sods who were carrying it when it was damaged). Remember, fully packaged the lot weighs about 19kg - fully insured its likely to cost ~ £20 via carrier. I'm willing to ship worldwide as long as I don't have to majorly go out of my way to get it on its way (Buyer will have to book shipping, provide me with forms to fill out if there are any etc).

Looking for trades/part exchange of shmups on PS2/PSP/PC/360 (Any region), a PSX DESR, anything PC Engine, a Jap 360 or £250

I have 1 spare (dead) controller port for a PS2 Tool, so if the buyer needs extra parts just PM me.

The DVD tray issue is common when the units have been disassembled as the top plastic side panel is of shite design. It actually gets in the way of the DVD tray - would you Adam and Eve it?

So - remove the side panel and re sit it, then Robert's your mother's brother!

    Good luck!

Parris me ol' china you're right. Pics to prove that the DVD drive works without the side cover on (XII Stag [PAL] running):

and when you pinch the side with the cover on!

Sorry about the messy setup and slighty crappiness of the photos but i hope you get the point.

Its the bottom right of the slot that gets caught. Perhaps a touch of gentle sanding would remove just enough plastic to open at will. I'll leave this to the Buyer though!

With regards to the controller pcb issue, there was this thread I made some time ago and Storm posted what sounds like a good solution. As with a lot of my projects I put it to one side and totally forgot about Storm's post :banghead: I never thanked you Storm - so thanks!

Price lowered to £250. Low price for the lot, I just need to clear up some space before Christmas.
