FS (USA) Panasonic Q

Well this was my second attempt at getting a Panasonic Q lol. When I ordered this from Japan along with a bunch of other stuff and it looked perfect in the pictures when it left. However the box came and was split open. It was clear that something hit the box hard on the top and I'm pretty sure this thing took the brunt of the blow. Th result is that the drive tray is loose. Once it's lined up straight it works fine opens and closes and reads games, but it is loose. I opened it up with the intention to try and resecure it but the plastic brackets holding it in place were broken and Panasonic Q is a pain in the ass to pull apart so I decided to sell it as it is.

I am willing to ship this worldwide if I must but this is a heavy little guy and I expect to cost at least $50 depending on where it's going. Thanks

 

I fixed two of these even fixed on that was used its offical box and still managed to get broken i used hot glue on the drive and there fine but the drive plastics are crap.

 

What's included? Just the console or are you throwing in a controller, cables and box also?

 

Just the console at this point. I ended up keeping the controller for the system I decided to keep.

 

Man, it's a bummer to see a Q like that. I've heard these little fellas are extremely fragile. It's not uncommon for people to just find local buyers for these to avoid shipping them. =/

 

I have only had damaged Q's over the years, around 6 of them!

The tray mech plastics are very cheap and brittle so this is an all too common fault with them when they take a heavy knock.

The price is good though so worth picking up if your in the US!

 

I had a similar thing happen to me. I ordered a Q from Japan, and while my tray looked normal, after only a couple days of use, the drive wouldn't eject any longer, and I could hear some plastic rattling around inside the casing.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the Q, but I'd just be so nervous to get another, even working.

 

Yeah I know the feeling I'm on my third Q now and finally have one that is working really well. After looking at the first one I get nervous when ever dealing with them. I may very well have to go the hot glue route. I'm sure that can't be worse then how it was all ready in there. The funny thing is about this thread is that The last Q I sold also broken I received about 7 messages with in the first 20 minutes. This one not so much.

 

Wow I was interested in finding one because I like the console, but after reading how fragile is the console it makes me run away from it. That damn little Q is too expensive to buy it and then have it broken. Of course is going to make anyone nervous after paying so much for a console and have it broke.
