    The Monster cable has 24k gold connectors, and is sharper than the MS one (from what ive read).

    I ll be a dick, and say that it doesn't really make a noticeable difference. The amount of noise surrounding your wire might be next to none, thus no practical benefit derives from the gold plated surface as such.
