FS:(see last post) *Brand New* Super Wild Card 32M for NTSC SNES/ SFC

    Item description:

I have for sale x12 brand new/ unused Super Wild Card (32M) backup devices. These were originally manufactured by a Japanese company, AdHoc Corp., and therefore the unit interface defaults to Japanese. Good news is that upto ten different languages are supported, so I will provide some printed instructions on how to navigate the Japanese menu's and permanently change the language to English (or any other language).

The units are designed to run on NTSC SNES/ SFC consoles, but *should* work on a modified (region free) UK/ European PAL SNES with a 60Hz switch.

    More info here:
    http://home.clara.net/robwebb/backup/ffe/ffeswcdx.html

An AC adapter is included as part of the set, but as it requires a step-down transformer, you may be better off using your own adapter with a rating of 9 to 12v DC (centre negative polarity). A Megadrive 1 or SFC adapter should do the trick (the floppy drive might not run without the extra power).

    Condition:

The units are brand new and unused. They each come with x2 floppy discs, one is blank (unformatted), the other has a few picture files in .PCX format to demonstrate the picture viewer function. All the supplied documentation is in Japanese. The outer boxes are in OK condition, but do have some slight wear and the odd mark here and there.

Click the links below for more pictures.

    Payment/ Shipping:

Price: Was: GBP£95.00, Then: GBP£90.00, Then: GBP£72.00 *NOW ONLY: GBP£50.00* per unit + one of the following shipping costs*:

    UK:GBP£8.15
    France/ Germany: GBP£17.00
    Ireland: GBP£14.00
    USA: *Was* GBP£27.00
    Now GBP£20.00

*All costs are for DHL shipping with insurance and online tracking included. Anywhere else please contact me for a quote. Shipping to the USA is expensive but it's very fast (DHL Time Definite), sometimes taking only two working days.

Payment via PayPal, bank transfer (UK only), and cheque (UK only).

    Pics don't work.

Too bad the shipping kills it for anyone not in europe.

BTW the pictures don't work as they redirect to the login page. Why not just use imageshack.us?

If they're manufactured by "Adhoc", they're clones? Or perhaps they're just an importer who made a Japanese box. Or perhaps FFE just made a generic Japanese box. Please update the pics!

Edit: Pics work if you copy/paste 'em. Very strange, it's a clone and due to floppy placement it must have a new PCB. Seems like it's an unlicensed clone but only can be determined by whether the FFE ASIC has been cloned or purchased.

*Pic links now work!* (I had copied and pasted the links that I'd emailed to myself, doh!)

I think they're cloned under license from FFE, they seem to be very professionally made. Each unit has a serial number on the unit, and then one sticker in the instruction manual (just like most Japanese electronics).
The colour scheme of the box also matches that of the Super Famicom box. The unit will fit any type SNES (SFC/ US/ UK), but the latter will need modification to allow it to run.

I know, it's really hard to get a decent quote that includes insurance and online tracking. I'm also not attempting to make any profit off the shipping, evidence of which can be provided at a buyers' request.

All the shipping options are via DHL. These are the best quotes I can get with insurance and online tracking included. If anyone can suggest a cheaper service I'm all ears.

UPDATE: Currently x6 units left + there's another one where the flap that goes over the cart slot has broken off. I can do this particular one for £40 (+ one of the shipping costs in the initial post above).
The flap is included, the box has a bit of wear, but not too bad. Everything else included with it, is in new condition.

I'd like to buy one, if they are still available around Christmas time (I'll be in the UK then). Let me know.
