I have just the motherboard to a Z64 (with RAM attached). I've had it for years and never did anything with it. It IS a working unit. If anyone wants it or wants pics of it, just email me. I have no use for it because there's no case or zip drive. Probably someone smart could think of something to do with it or if you have a broken one this could replace it.

Where are you based, and what are you looking at for it?

By the way, it usually helps to put your e-mail address or fill in your profile with one if you want people to e-mail you ;)

Do you know which hardware revision it is? And how much RAM it contains?

What is the difference between the boards, Kyuusaku? Why did they have to replace the board to upgrade, and what did the upgrade do?

Ooh, and how much RAM can it take up to? I know the V64 is 256Mb, but how many (and what) games are 512Mb?

What do you want to pay for it? I live in US. Can you get some PAL PSOne games (specific titles)? If you live in UK I would trade for specific PAL PSOne games (and I'm not looking for rare expensive titles either).

I also updated my profile. Thanks.

    No. And I don't know. I think it's 128 (guessing)? Didn't they go to 256 max? I can take a pic.

BTW, this isn't a fried board. It was a working board and still should be.

May I ask why it was seperated from its case?

There are 3 hardware revisions. The first revision (A) e.g. BIOS #.##A, is 128M only, cannot be upgraded and is prone to HW failure. Revisions B and C supported 256M (came standard.) C must be better in some way, I don't own a Z64 so I'm not sure of their differences. Some B revision owners out there say B is better, but I'd take that with a grain of salt.

There are IIRC 6 >256M games

    Biohazard/Resident Evil 2
    Mario Story/Paper Mario (320M)
    Ogre Battle 64
    Conker's Bad Fur Day

Thats all I can think of now.

Where is the bios chip (Ali, quicklogic,SST big ass chips?)? Anyhow, chances are it's rev A because when I wanted to get more RAM I had to send it in to get a new mobo....unless the company was screwing me over and I really didn't need it. I NEVER had problems with it.

I don't know how much I want for this. Can someone tell me how much it is worth?

Revision B (2.0) was an upgraded A (1.0) unit. The motherboard PS_Extreme has is therefore most likely from an A unit.

Revision B (2.0) had problems with overheating. C (3.0) fixed this.

I would take it with a grain of salt too :p

The 6 games Kyuusaku mentioned are:

    Ogre Battle (320)
    Mario Story/Paper Mario (320)
    Pokemon Stadium Gold/Silver (512)
    Conkers Bad Fur Day (512)
    Pokemon Stadium 2 (512)
    Bio Hazard 2/Resident Evil 2 (512)

First of all does the unit even have the LCD? If you can't turn it on, how are we supposed to work it? The N64 menu?

I don't know how much its worth, it can at best be sold as a replacement mobo. I guess you can sell it for whatever you want although I wouldn't pay more than $15 :\
