Gonna sound nooby but hear me out. I've been looking for an answer to this for a while but never get a definitive answer. My Dev is adamant about not launching FSD; if I run it from a clean download it just forces a crashdump. If I rename/delete the FreeStyleDashPlugin.xex in Plugin folder, FSD launches but can't populate the 360 Games List and thus is pretty much useless. So yeah, any solutions?
I would guess that it requires HV priveleges/special syscalls to run (i.e. via jtag/RGH) and the devkit isn't allowing it. -adrianc
It's because FSD's plugin it comes with allows stuff such as using Xbox Neighborhood from the PC side XDK software.. The devkernel already allows this, whether it be an actual devkit or RGH unit (and eventually JTAG running the devkernel) My game list is populated on my RGH unit running a NAND image built with rgbuild.. I went in the settings and had it scan the directories in which my games are.. They're legit of course, I just used a homebrew app to make the 360 recognize them as GOD packages so I don't have to keep getting my discs out.
Well when I run FSD without the plugin, I can't get the Games list populated properly; using a program like Gadabama I can tell that it can see all my games but just doesn't show them up for some reason. The Games list is just completely empty.
Yeah I've been told that by many people yet an equal number of clean reinstalls later: no dice. If it makes a difference, my kit is a Proto Slim running 14699 recovery and setup with no gateway (can access network but not internet)
