The list on Wikipedia used to be much much larger and had many models that aren't on the list anymore but do actually exist. is there anywhere 'I can see a FULL list of every model(revision) of the originaL PS1?
I can't remember the models that are missing, that is why i created this thread in the first place.. I noticed instantly that a lot are missing so, maybe I need a real full list.
Again, what other ones? I don't believe that list is incomplete. I think you're looking for something that doesn't exist.
What other ones??? I just told you what those are and why I need them. and yes, they do exist. for a very long time (so not vandalism) that PS1 revision list on wikipedia had many many more Revisions that are now gone from the page. and I need to know what those are. It's not helping me at all by calling them Non-existant because I searched for one of those models that are now gone a while ago on ebay and there it was, EXISTANT! so yep... still need a full list. :/
Maybe you should re-read, you didn't specify a single model that was missing from the list. So yes, myself and anyone else that reads this has no idea what models are missing. That's all I'm asking, what's one specific model that is missing?
I tried to locate all models and bios versions a few years ago and my research ties up with that Wikipedia page. Either they copied my list or we both failed to find the missing models. People list playstations incorrectly on ebay all the time, unless you have a picture of a label then it's no proof. You don't even list the model or the ebay auction, so I can't validate that it exists and add it to my list.
Yeah that's cause I can't remember it I would have specified it but no, my memory is bad. All I know is the list on Wikipedia used to be 30% larger and I even went on ebay for one of those models on the list that is now gone (it was 3xxx) and I found it on there and saw the sticker and it wasn't fake. And I know that some models are missing I just can't remember what they were.
You do know you can easily bring up old revisions of each page on Wikipedia, yes? In case you don't: top right, "view history". ...and, having just gone through a few of them, it doesn't seem like there were ever any more models than now on that page. Maybe on another page, before this one was branched out from that... No quick way to find that out though. Or maybe it was on there for a very limited time and I just missed that revision.
Yeah that it's it, before they changed it to the new "PS1 models" page, there were many more on the PlayStation 1 page.
Three models I know of that are missing from that list. I actually have the last one. DTL-H2000: ISA dev board DTL-H2500: PCI dev board SCPH-7000W: Midnight Blue model. Might be only the Japanese one. Acts like a Yaroze: region-free, but won't run copies. I don't have a Yaroze boot disk, so I can't check whether it runs that, but it very well could. Firmware was 4.1 but a slightly earlier date than the other 4.1's. I have an SCPH-5903 and DTL-H3000, so I could also fill those holes in the firmware version charts.
Thank you Myria! Very nice. I am quite jealous, one day I'll have to buy myself an Yaroze and Midnight Blue model.
What's the differences within bios revisions? Debug PS1 has Bios v1.0 up to v2.2. So what's the difference between those?
The ISA/PCI boards don't really count as consoles. Do you have the firmware dumped for the SCPH-7000W? If you can let me have it I'll add that to MESS. Bugs fixed, new features, different UI etc. The Debug PS1 BIOS versions are exactly the same as the Retail PS1 BIOS versions.
Yeah, I was curious about the new features. I have a DTH-H1000 and I was wondering what I could get if swapping it's bios for a v2.2 that was the latest.
