Been trying to find these screen covers for a while now.

All I know is that they used to be available via mail order on magazines.

I'm curious, is that the entire plastic lens part or just a sticker-type thing that goes on top of the original?

Its not a sticker, its the entire plastic screen cover.

I got this gameboy at a flea market years ago and I haven't found any others like it since.

I know that somewhere in the world there is a box of these and I want it.

Its not a case, its an actual version from the line of "Play it Loud" GameBoys.

I don't have a clue where exactly you can find it, but if I were you I would search for chipmusic shops on the net. There are lots of shops that specialize in customizing gameboys because they are often used by chipmusic DJ's.

You can always get good quality sticky paper and make it yourself.

I'm always on chipmusic shops and forums and I've looked there relentlessly... This forum is pretty much my last restort.
Thanks for the tip anyway. :)

I'd have to be insanely crafty to make it work... Plus, I want the real deal. These are rare and hard to find so making one would kinda be cheating imo.

I had a few of those! We got ours in an anniversary edition of nintendo power.
They left an awful residue on the faceplate lol

Naki may have sold them. There was an accessory for the original dmg called the Mini Arcade and on the box it shows a system with a similar screen on it

The one you're talking about is only a sticker that goes on the Gameboy, I had one a while back... can't seem to find the pictures I took of it though.

Thanks for the tip. I made a search on Naki and couldn't find anything on the screen covers. I did find the Mini Arcade which looks like an awesome addition to my collection. :)

Some may have been stickers. I own the one pictured in my starting post and I've taken it apart. This one is a solid plastic screen cover, juts like the default ones. Not a sticker.

Sorry, I was talking about the screen covers that came with the Naki Mini Arcade, not the one you had. Too bad you weren't here a few months ago when I was giving it away

Is the naki mini arcade basically another brand of the Booster Boy?
