Ok, if you haven't guessed this by now, this thread is all about funny ass commercials that seem to get stuck in your head. The commercials I would like to talk about are the Sonic commercials. You know the ones. Where to two guys are at the Drive Thru making comments on the food. Awesome commercials. In fact, the phrase "Wooow, breakFEAST" has been going through my head all day. That's from one of their newer ones. The guy has a breakfast burrito and he said something like "this thing is kind of like a breakFEAST... wooow breakFEAST" and he goes on and on about how "clever" his little play-on-words is. That commercial is so damned stupid, that it's funny. The other ones are great too. So, lets here it. What do you think? What are some of your favorite commercials?
Those Sonic commercials are classic! There was some beer commercial where some Jamaican guy and a white guy are in a bar. The Jamaican guy tells the white guy he is ugly, hands him the beer and then says he is beautiful. Then both of them say "Hooray, Beer!" It was hilarious because it was so crappily done and cheesy.
Yeah, they never give good reasons not to smoke pot, either. And basically tell parents to act like fucking hypocrites.
You should see the Soap-Opera-Level production of Mexican Anti-drug ads. Those are so aggravating and hypocritical, the only way to take them without having an aneurysm is to laugh your ass off at them. But back onto funny commercials, anyone seen the Katamari Damacy one? It's great. There's this page that has a lot of good videogame commercials, actually, and some are pretty funny - like the Chinese Atari ads (though everything Atari is now officially funny, because of history doing its job). You know, the original Geico ads were insanely funny too. Some of today's are good, still. I really liked the original Aflac duck commercial. It aired during CNN's coverage of new year's 2000.
They are more practical than the ones that aired when I was a kid. My current favorite is the Heinekin Commercial where a guy is carrying a case load of beer, he stumbles, they all fall down and break, then a guy somewhere else, in his bed with his girlfriend/wife, gets sad all of a sudden and its because of the beer, he pushes his wife away as she tries console him, thats your typical beer commercial. Another one I like is the Bacardi and Cola commercials, especially the one with the Diet Cola. The Geico commercials are my favorites to, one of them is when they use clips from the old Speed Racer anime.
The 3DFX commercials for the cards with VSA-100 chip are nice! (Voodoo 4500 / 5500 etc) .. also the atari-mac etc. comparing C64 commercials
Does anybody here remember the monster.com commercials with the monkeys? Now that I remember them, those were the funniest ones I've ever seen.
