I currently own a Sega Mega Drive Model I, a Mega CD Model I, both in PAL format, and an NTSC 32X. Anyway, the Mega Drive has the 50/60hz mod, and when I am playing with the 32X, I can get the signal for the Mega Drive driven elements of the games for the system. Yet I cannot figure out how to get a correct signal from the 32X itself. Could it be because the RCA cords that connect to the 32X's output be faulty, or do I need a better connector between the Mega Drive and the 32X? I really need help. And if this helps, I also own a PAL 32X with a burnt out power regulator, but the rest of the components are still intact. Would it be possible to convert the 32X from NTSC to PAL, by replacing the frequency crystal, and putting in the usual mods, or is the problem above limited to the RCA Cable? As said before, I really need help.
Hmm sounds like an internal problem. Faulty cables the Mega Drive signal wouldn't look right either. 32X takes in RGB, then mixes with additional RGB. Composite is optional post-processing by the 32X and the only thing replacing its NTSC or PAL frequency crystal should affect.
You're using the crossover cable, right? Connect like this (read all 3 pages): http://www.gametrog.com/GAMETROG/HO...A_32X,_SEGA_Genesis_Model_1,_SEGA_CD_2_a.html Modding 32X to NTSC/PAL: http://www.segakore.fr/articles/switch_32x.html
