collectibles of the future, the trash of today. This thread's scope is obvious to most intelligent people so here's one to start things off: http://kotaku.com/5489031/rumor-goodbye-ugly-psp-color Ten years from now some smug kid will take pictures with this PSP and be hailed as a collector. You can be his seller! stock up your investments gentlemen ;-)
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the PSP in the US had a lot of rare/hard to find games 10 years from now considering how for quite some time the PSP was well behind the DS due to poor hardware sales and then a mass of piracy when it got cracked. Even now some games are pretty hard to find especially for non-greatest hits versions. It's really kind of made me nervous because now whenever I see a game I know I want I buy it because I know it might be hard to find later on. Then another item is the Wii which will have shovelware that will become rare because nobody bought the title.
There are a ton of obscure psp games and even better alot of rpgs which usually become rare collectibles. Also, since piracy is so heavy with the psp, the sales rate and printing on those lesser known titles is probably really low. Anyone remember Skate Park City? Or that Swat game that came out?
"Retro Gamer Collection Volume 3" will probably be worth a few quid when this print dries up, It's about 10 quid on Amazon UK. The "out of print" collection 2 is now fetching over £100 on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....92174&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1367wt_1184
