Vaguely popular classic game re-releasing company GoodOldGames has shuttered this week, with the site showing a cryptic message about changes in management style, and their Twitter site hinting that problems have developed between publishers and the site's lack of a DRM solution. They claim that the site's going in for a change of direction, but no hints as to what the future holds.

Whilst I never used the service itself, I know several who do and will be saddened by this news. Has anyone else used this service? What are your thoughts on this situation?

If this is a marketing stunt, then it's definitely one of the stupidest ever.

I'm all for these kind of things. They may be a shot in the foot, but they can potentially turn into a shot in the arm.
I guess I feel indifferent because it hasn't really butthurt me in any way. I roll with it because at the end of the day, I just want to see GoG succeed and something like this stunt doesn't phase me.
