Whilst I dislike being the bearer of sad news, this is something that's already overdue. Mid November last year a good and longtime friend and coworker of mine lost his life in a car accident. He passed away on the way to the hospital. It was a hard time for his wife Kerstin and his four kids, Elena, Hannah, Julian and Lucas. He was a family man and spending time with his kids and wife was his favorite hobby and he tried to spend as much time as he could, therefore missing opportunities to get promoted at work but he never cared for things like that. Family first. I tried to assist his family over the hardest time with whatever was scheduled and did and arranged things that needed to be done. From what I know and what I've heard from others g0dlike tried to help and assist others when he could being interested in developing and injecting games for several systems. Teaming up with Steve from 0rangechicken brought up his second favorite hobby, more a passion namely injecting Roms into VC wads for the Wii, he did a total of slightly under 500 injected games and people loved his work. He was known at darkumbrella, wiiso, xbox360iso and maybe more sites I'm not aware of. Here's helping still because it will take a long time to heal those wounds god ripped into the hearts of four kids and one wife. So following the advice of moderator Retro I'll leave this here for you. We'll miss you man. Thanks for reading ----------------------------- Hi, this is assembler. I did some basic research online and found g0dlike online. He has a public photobucket, so I hope he doesn't mind me sharing one photo of him. There's more pictures online, but they are almost exclusively his kids and wife, so I won't post them here. I hope you are all can appreciate seeing him with his children playing his wii system.
Oh man, that's awful. He was a great guy. True shame it had to end this way. Rest in peace man, we'll miss you.
It's always sad to hear of the passing of a fellow forum member, but even sadder to hear they leave a family behind. That said, it seems I already knew that, as he proudly announced the birth of one: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?34431-My-baby-arrived&highlight= He sounded like a great father - capable of handling 3 children and sharing the responsibilities with his wife. Many fathers can't even handle one child properly! I am pleased to hear that he at least achieved what sounds like a life goal of his: As I said before, I'm really sorry to hear the news. Thanks for letting us know - so often, people on forums just disappear and you wonder what happened and never really know.
Damn, this is sad. And it's the second time today i hear on forums that someone is died in a car accident. RIP.
Again, my condolences mate. My thoughts are with his family and friends that they can get through this tough time. I'm sure all of us here are sad to see another member leave us like that.
uhg that's so sad to hear. had to take a moment of silence there for respect. its good to know he was indeed a good father and a loving one at that. It's always better to hear the news then to wonder what happened, like Retro stated. Rest in peace.
I had a lot of close calls in the road, what I learn is that you never know when its gonna be your turn. RIP dude
I was running through some webpages looking up on information on my RVT-H, found G0dLike's pic of his RVT-R on this page. http://darkumbra.net/topic/8854-all-about-wii-development/
