Hey Everyone, If you use a Gamcube adapter on your Wii, such as one which lets you use SNES pads, will they work 100% with Virtual Console games? Or would I need to scrap Nintendo's emulators and use a homebrew one instead to get such hardware support? I suppose it goes down to how well converter box's simulate gamecube contoler readings? Though, in the case of SNES pads, I don't know what it would do for analog support.
I've heard they will work just fine. www.retrousb.com sells adapters to the GC which also say they work on the Wii as a GameCube controller would. But I'm not sure as I haven't done this myself. Button placement would probably matter since GC has that screwwed up lettering.
Nintendo is also planning on releasing a Super Famicom pad in Japan for the Wii, which is supposedly pretty nice (though somewhat expensive).
They're not for sale are they? They were gifts to all Platinum Club Nintendo Members. I got one as did Importaku. Did anyone else here get one? Yakumo
Nintendo isn't "selling" them, but there's a ton on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=super+famicom+wii&category0=
