Game Boy DMG-1

Hello.

I have a boxed Game Boy and would like to get an idea of how much it might be worth.

Unfortunately, though in perfect working order, the unit has two problems - one minor and the other (in my opinion) pretty bad:

- It's missing the small cover that goes over the link-cable connector
- It has a UK postcode engraved into the underside of the unit

Despite these obvious problems, the box and various contents are in near-mint condition, as far as I can tell. Aside from the original batteries, which are no longer there, all the other cables are still sealed in their original plastic packets and the paper inserts are all present and undamaged. Furthermore, the box has no dented or damaged corners, and is not faded at all either. It looks like it's brand new.

Even a rough idea of how much I could expect to value such a set for would be much appreciated.

Iv seen them sell for £40 on ebay without a box.

 

I think the mint box and inner items are more the point, not just the console only price.

 

There's a mint in box Play it Loud clear one here selling for $150 cdn in a local game shop.

And as promised, here are some pictures to give a better idea of the condition. The text engraved on the bottom is a bit hard to make out in the photo, but it's basically a UK postcode. I had considered replacing the casing with a better one, but thought I'd try to get an idea of the value first. Additionally, I've included a photo of some games too. All in similarly good condition.

 

Did you manage to get this valued ok or are you still seeking feedback? Those boxes are fab - I highly recommend you you get some box protectors on them to help keep them minty!
