I felt bad for a while since I had a lot of episodes in 1080i TS format but never got around to sharing them.
Underground Gamer had all the episodes, or most of them, back in the days. I watched some and it was quite boring, in my opinion.
Then you are the odd one in a hundred. GCCX is a cult show and it can't be recommended enough to those who are into Japanese retro arcade & console gaming!
It's about retro gaming in japan, it's funny, and it gives more insight on the japanese culture than many, if not all, shitty anime otaku people like. I think it's the perfect package for mature people who like retrogaming and doesn't watch shit just because "OMG JAPAN =3 kawaii desu~". It's targeted for Assembler users basically.

Also, to add to the thread, it seems that Arino didn't have that much problems in Battletoads, most people say, that the Japanese version of Battletoads is easier than the US, but is it THAT easier? I mean, the AD's do give him a lot of leeaways like allowing him to use Stage Select cheats to resume from the last level he cleared at times.
I played and finished lots of games that they showed but i still dont find it interesting neither funny. Could be a bad translation, could be i dont really mind the japanese culture (outside the videogames) or could be i dont usually like watching other people playing. There are some exceptions, this man is not.
Whoa! You didn't need to go that far! A link to the SA thread at the top of the post would have been just fine. I personally see no problem with mirroring the content here for convenience sake, it was just disappointing that the original source wasn't acknowledged or linked.
Specially when SA turns on the paywall. It sucks for those who don't have an account. I personally only bought one account to be able to access the GCCX thread regularly.
Yeah I posted this thread thinking this show is a fine fit to the interest of the people in this site. Kinda sad that even in Japan arcades are dying out.
I watched the Northernmost Travelogue last night. Was pretty funny and entertaining. One thing that irritates me though is his laugh. It's some what annoying.. but other than that, he's a funny guy. Definitely gonna check out the actual show now.
Sadly those kinds of "laughs" are kind of expected in Japanese style slapstick comedy shows. But Game Center CX isn't really a Comedy Show so don't ask me why....
