http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFi1cuz2o_A Fo Sheezy my heezy. AND THIS is why Hollywood Video went belly up. Who would want to work there after having to see this?
Straight away those two presenters annoyed me, especially the white guy. Typical American stereo type presenters. For a moment I thought I was about to watch some WWF or whatever it's called these days. Why is the woman called Zelda? Stupid name for a real person and what the hell is she talking about? Hizhouse??? The Hizee?? The GC Posse? To get the 411??? Crazy Tight with the GC??? Those are just words right? They don't mean shit to me. Honestly I have no idea what the hell she was saying. Ok, I know what posse is but the rest?
It's all hip hop slang. Used quite poorly and I might add outdated even when this was made. Hizzious and Heezy= House GC Posse- probably game crazy posse 411- 411 is the number for information in the US Crazy Tight- Really close.
My favorite part is when the guy says that it is sketchy to buy used video games. Sounds like he is buying drugs on the street corner.
Ohhh shit man, the circa vanilla-ice ghetto talk And the Saturn-era graphics... This can't be real, those assholes must be part of some comedy troupe trying to make the ultimate viral video.
Compare to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUKDspx0LZ0 Wendy's (American fast food chain) has a rather amusing training video that doesn't suck.
Urgh, this gotta be a spoof right? Or I am seriously not missing out on these tards... Having worked for about 6 years in an import store, I can relate about the basics of their behaviour, but both these 'hardore gamer' and 'newbies' get suckered in the same way. -Homey, my kid's got a telly, I suppose he'd watch DVD. WUT NAO? There's a Bill Murray wannabe, a UFC-octagon looking shop for coolness and a female attendant that seemingly shat her pants on prozac... if this is gonna attract clientel for their shop, I dunno... Love the annotation at the end  And I finally know now how to bake me some funky baagaasu.
Does Game Crazy even exist anymore? If so, what areas is it located in? All we have for games out here is Gamestop, Game Factor, a few local shops, and various retail stores. I think I have a migraine from the numerous facepalms I did while watching that video.. If anyone tried talking to me using that outdated slang, I'd probably call them a dumbass.
I've just watched this and again think this must be a spoof. No-one in their right mind would commission an ad, video or infomercial this bad surely, it would be career suicide.
Announcer one : Here we see a mother that knows bugger all about videogames. Announcer two : That's right, you know that means we can score big time selling her crap she doesn't need. Announcer one : And look he smoothly adds in a remote control, a wireless control pad and not one memory card but several. Announcer two : That was some play there, I mean most normal gamers would have easily just bought the single memory card and maybe another wired pad. Announcer one : Indeed, accessories are bigger profit items and this kid knows it. He'll be a regional manager in no time. Announcer two : He has the arsehole like skills covered with a friendly smile down to a tee. Announcer one : But can he try to sell her a number of second hand games that have just stayed on the shelf? Announcer two : You mean like John Madden from 2 years ago and some other crap? Announcer one : Yes, but with some other expensive second hand game that means big bucks for us. Announcer two : I am sure he can, I mean this women is a simpleton idiot. Announcer one : Well lets go down to the floor and see what Zelda has been sniffing. Zelda : Well the 411 on this snazzle is that this crack I smoked was dope, far dingity. It is the phat way to get through this whack job. Announcer one : Indeed that is a lesson that everyone can learn. Announcer two : You said it, well let us wrap this up before we get our unemployment cheques and go a work for Gamestop. Announcer one : This is Game Crack signing out, have a good one.
Yes, Game Crazy actually did exist. I don't they do now, they closed both stores here 2 years ago. It was part of Hollywood Video which also closed here. I bought some games from them (used) and they weren't that bad of a price. The only thing I hated was they don't keep the books or the original boxes for some of their used games. They sold GB and GBA games lose and the systems where also sold lose (unless it was a new system). I don't know why in the video says you get a money back if it didn't work. When they came here their used games where sold as is. =hugh
