Had this Game Gear for a while, one of the 3 I have. It was recapped last year and all was fine but when I tried to use it, all I got were blank white screen and no sound, no matter which game cart I used. I swapped the power board and sound board, nothing changed so the problem has to be on the mainboard. The screen remained a solid white no matter how I adjusted the brightness dial. Could the dial or something related to it be bad? This one is the later 1 ASIC model. I also have an early 2 ASIC model (recapped too) that doesn't have TMSS and will play with a TV tuner. And a Majesco GG, not recapped yet. Another thing, before this one stopped working, it was working fine with Everdrive GG. Majesco model also works fine with EDGG even in SMS mode (added resistor fix) but the old 2 ASIC model will not work with Everdrive GG, it always shows blank screen like there's no game cart. Any idea? I am getting LCD mod kit from McWill on AA forum and I would like to make one of the GG work but I don't want to change the Majesco model, on eBay it seems to go for a hefty price.
