I think "terrible diagonal controls" are more like "working as intended" ... But I never heard of such a code being made, really. Probably would need some major engine tampering to achieve what you seek. In the sense of being something too complex to be done with a game genie or action replay code.
It will require more code than the game genie can hold in the entry slots. Even on the Everdrive carts that have like 10 entry slots. Better bet is to disassemble the game, change the code in the proper area, and recompile it.
I don't remeber it being so bad on the original 6 button genesis controller. But I'm trying it emulated on a xbox controller and it's really bad.
aw, i don't think it's gamebreaking, but it definitely wasn't ideal...sorry for the bump here, just noticed this & was thinking about the problems i ran into recently with Dark Savoir. thing with isometrics, for me, is that if they had proper shadows to help you better gauge things, it wouldn't be so bad...like say Mario RPG, no one really knocks the controls there, as i recall.
