Hey Krikzz , i entered game genie code, than when i go to load game genie code , it takes me to my rom. I choose rom but than my game genie code i entered isnt there anymore, i re enter it says it patches rom but it does nothing.
how to use GG 1) burn your rom 2) go to GG code menu, enter or load codes from file 3)rom patching... 4)done! now you can start game
...i have a lot of roms on my sd card, from genesis to sega master games, tried the gg codes on my genesis games i get the gg screen , after entering codes it says it patches rom but doesnt go directly to game, than when i go back to gg screen codes not there that i intered
gg patches not touch rom file on sd card, they touch flash memory where writen your game. why you just can't do as i say? you will take result. after patching gg codes stay in rom memory until next game will be writen
roycole: What Krikzz means is. Select the game and when it is done flashing do NOT start the game yet, but go to the GG menu and enter code. THEN start game.
Thats just it when i select game ,rom flashes and the game starts up, so im unable to go to gg menu and enter code
it is does not matter, just power off system your system after flashing for return in menu for enter gg codes. try try try! and questions will no need anymore (;
Okay Krikzz i think i figured whats going on, i tried another rom batman revenge of the joker and game genie code worked! The previous rom i played was greatest heavyweights that the codes wouldnt work with, also i noticed on this rom prior to using game genie codes that when you play in career mode after you reflash game all your stats are gone so unsure if career mode is savable, i read online that some ea sports games are playable but stats you cant save. Also i converted some smd files to bin files previously with your smd to bin file tool these roms play fine when you just play game . Than say when you turn off game, turn back on enter game genie codes ,rom patch then play game you get a red screen so i know there trying to go through im gonna look for bin versions of those roms which were ghouls n ghosts, and castlevania bloodlines. Thanks to you and Bootay for answering my questions i know it works now!!!
red screens after gg usage is mean that game do self chech and if some changes detected, then game go to red screen. usually list of gg codes for games which do self check should contain "master code" for dissable check
Hmm I seem to get the red screen problem with Golden Axe - no codes will work. Is there supposed to be a master code to bypass this?
Thanks Krikzz. Yeah so it needs a master code. I have looked ALL over the net for the master code and haven't found one. If someone knows the master code for Golden Axe, please share! I believe most of the codes assume that you start the game with the GG off, then once in game you switch the GG on.
Hey guys, I just hacked Golden Axe to find the master code. The checksum is performed with: 00:0BF0 67 24 BEQ #$24 [00:0C16] Need to change branch instruction from 67 24 to 60 24 Used hex (000bf0:6024) to gg conversion tool to find master code. Golden Axe Master code is: ETFT AA9T
Hi KRIKzz, Is there any possibility of PAR (Pro Action Replay) codes being supported in a future OS of the SMS Everdrive? The physical PAR units are incredibly hard to come by and some fun results can be had with some "home generated" codes ;-) Thanks. If this has already been requested, please excuse me for asking. I did google it "Site:assemblergames.com "Everdrive for SMS" Pro Action replay" and had no hits apart from a request for the MD unit earlier in this thread.
no, only gg. i never used any codes or cheats or hacks in games, so codes implementation is is so boring thing for me gg codes for some of my carts it is all what i could offer
