Most of us know that the pcb on an nes game genie is thicker than a standard nintendo nes cart pcb.; The commonly believed reason for this is to get a good connection on a front loading nes, but when you want to use it on a toploading nes it won't fit. Galoob the maker of the game genie did make an adapter for this, but it is rare and expensive.
Here is my solution. Hopefully this helps someone. Sadly I only took picture of the finished product because I didn't know how well it would work. I took a a cheap copy of bases loaded and cut the fingers off of it. Keep in mind I cut half an inch above the fingers and removed traces and solder mask. I then connected the fingers of the game genie to the fingers from bases loaded using resistor legs(1 for 100 on ebay). After which I secured it with jb weld. All that was left to do was extend the cart case. I just recycle plastic from bases loaded.

Note: the steel dust in jb weld doesn't cause interference or bridging.

Also if it isn't obvious I use my guest bedroom as game room.
