There are a few sites out there, such as GameSpot, IGN and Video Game Museum, that have very large collections of info on games. Do any of you guys know a good source for this information that's free? So you could import the data for your own use, or build a site that uses such the data.

Or does anyone know of a service that provides this data as a paid service?

    Thanks!

www.gamefaqs.com but... 'import the data for your own use or build a site that uses such the data' that ain't really nice/legal.

Yeah, gamefaqs/gamespot have a big database, I know that. But it's not really usefull for import, allthought it could be done with smart scripts since gamefaqs has predictable layout. But that's illegal and won't do! That's why I wonder, is there such a thing as a 'free' database in regular format that you could use? Payservice is also ok, it's for professional use, so costs can be dealed with.

Compare it with the music info database which have become common and are available for paying customers or partners.

    Any tips are welcome.

Honestly, I think Gamefaqs sucks...espcially for imports. It's never accurate, and the reviews are crap. I'd say that I could do a better job...if doing so wasn't such a HUGE task.
